County Diminutive Dan Onorato made an unannounced appearance on the once and future talk show host Mike Pintek’s new talk show on Monday evening.  His Drink Tax press conference from earlier in the day was the topic of conversation including the Court of Common Pleas’ decision on Friday January 2 to enjoin the County’s plan to use Drink Tax revenues for non-Port Authority items.  Dan was asked by a caller about his County Solicitor, Mike Wojcik’s, statements after the court decision where Wojcik stated for all to hear that the court’s decision would necessitate a raise in propety taxes. 

Wojcik was speaking from talking points, but apparently the updated version had not reached his Blackberry in time.  He forgot that Dan was running for governor in 2010 and would sooner jab a knitting needle into his left ear than raise property taxes.  He also forgot that 5 Drink Tax supporting members of County Council are up for election this spring, and would have trouble justifying a raise in property taxes after bragging how they have avoided one since the Hoover administration. 

So Diminutive Dan, in response to the questioner, stated that the Wojcik did not speak on behalf of the County Executive and that it was Dan’s decision to make.  PAGING MR. WOJCIK FOR A TRIP TO THE WOODSHED!!!  MR. WOJCIK FOR A TRIP TO THE WOODSHED PLEASE!!!!

Keep in mind, though, that Wojcik is a close confidant of the County Diminutive, and reports directly to him.  He was certainly speaking for the County in Court, but somehow magically was transformed into a misinformed buffoon after he emerged into the hallway. 

Query to Mr. Wojcik:  How do those bus wheels feel?
